Back in 2001-02 when using Inetnet Greeting Cards were new way of sending love one greetings, I was wondering why there is no website with Urdu or Islamic Designed Cards as beautiful as available in Urdu and other Languages. Then I joined different communities, and in 2003 I started a forum HallaGulla – Urdu Poetry Forum. Here some of my friends start learning Photoshop and few of friends knew Inpage and other related software, that was begining of new area of Designed Urdu Cards, Designed Urdu Poetry Images, and Designed Islamic Images in Urdu language.
Now after 8 years Urdu made it’s place on Internet, we can see forums and websites uding unicode and with grace of Allah swt the work we started of teaching Urdu Designing on internet, 100s of people not only learnt this art but opened dozens of relevant sites, forums and much more.
But I strongly belive there is much more in designing than just collecting few relevant images, using few old fonts, puttnig a border and that’s it. There is a lot more than that in Urdu Artwork & Calligraphy. Someone told me of software Kelk which I buy from an Indian Company Alexa Computers who are selling pirated version by saying it’s orginal. That application never worked, then one day I found SinaSoft who are the developer of the software, and then I purchased a copy of Kelk 2007 from them. And that is the start of Urdu & Islamic Artwork & Calligraphy for me, dozen of designers at HallaGulla have already designed 100s of beautiful Artwork of Urdu Poetry & Quranic Ayaats.
And we are sharing ths all artwork free, because we believe there is no price can be put on an artwork. For last many years This artwork was not getting real projection, so I decided to launch a website promoting only Urdu & Islamic Calligraphy Artwork. And for that purpose www.urduart.net is in front of you. Today it’s send day of its launch, and I already added well over 100 Calligraphy Artwork of both Urdu & Islamic including Quranic Ayaat, Names of Allah swt, Greeting Cards, Wallpapers and much much more.
